When you abuse me

I'm treated like a sinner yet I've done nothing wrong,
I'm struck by your hand and brought tears from your words,
my heart is beating a song of sadness,
and my mind is confused from your lies.
All of the pain is driving me now to madness
and I can no longer tell what is real in your eyes.
You say you love me, but you strike me from rage,
you told me you want me, but another's scent is on you.
When you spend time with me it's like I'm stuck in a cage
and I have to obey your words as I'm told what to do.
Some say it's my fault, but I'm the victim tonight
I'm the one in tears after every single fight.
You still lie when I confront you, and use me for fun.
Your actions are heartless and shoot at me like a gun.
When we're together I find joy but fear when you're gone,
we're not even bonded yet you play like I'm your wife.
I'm just stifled with suffering because to you I'm not the one,
you use me merely as a spike of thrill in your life.
When you punish me like this, I fall to my knees and cry,
sometimes the pain is enough to make my heart die.
When you use me, I sit alone in my room waiting for you
and the darkness never fades no matter what I do.
And when you abuse me, my heart breaks off into pieces,
and my suffering and sadness never ceases.
